BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The ALT Foundation is an African-based and African-focused foundation registered in South Africa as a Section 21, not-for-profit organization (NPO).

The Foundation is also registered in Ghana and Zambia. In recognition of the international nature of leadership, and to manage global relationships, the Foundation is also registered in the USA.

The Foundation has an International Board of Directors drawn from Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia and the USA. Board diversity by academic discipline, region and gender are encouraged; at the moment, the Board is over 50% women and the Chairperson of the Board is female.

The Foundation’s day-to-day operations are run by an Executive Director, who work closely with Country Board of Directors.
